Female Qantas Pilot Pulled from Flight on Suspension of Drinking

There are a lot of different things people do not want to happen when flying. One of the things that ranks among the top of that list would be to fly with a drunk pilot. That is what makes this next story so scary. Apparently, a female captain on a Qantas plane was ordered to step down from controlling a jet just last week. Reports suggest that this happened within minutes before the plane actually taking off. It was said that one of her fellow crew members had suspected that she had been drinking before the flight.
According to reports from the airline, the pilot was suspended and a full-scale investigation has been launched. So far, the investigation has been stepped up since the captain recorded a positive reading for alcohol in her system.
Due to the rules of Qantas, the airline pilot has been withheld from all operational duties, but has been able to keep her full pay. As of right now, the airline will not announce what reading the female pilot gave, or just how recently before the flight she had been drinking. Chances are, the public will not get these details until later, if ever.
The female pilot was responsible of a Boeing 767, which was carrying about 254 people at the time of the event. To show just how close the plane was to taking off, reports show that the airline had already pulled away from the terminal and was taxing towards a runway for take-off.
